Just bought another 600k of these... When that chevron drill gets announced we are quids in....easily bounce to over 2/3 or more. I don't even look at this anymore to list to Oilchat moaning.... Summer is here and wait for this to quadruple at least.

Phew and there was me thinking my average of 1.3 was a gonner....maybe....

So whats the earliest for Chevron then....do we roughly know.... By clockwurktangerine

Karlo, I am in a similar position to you, 690556 @ 2.1p so currently sitting on a 12 grand loss, as are two of my friends. We all got greedy and swept along on the Luna hype so lesson learned, but for what it's worth, I'm holding and agree with Merc500slk. I'd rather go down with the ship and lose the lot than get mugged for 12 grand only to see them go up again in six months time. I have always intended to hold long term so it doesn't bother me, but I'm just annoyed that this share was pumped up on what was supposed to be a good diverse portfolio, and now after one drill none of it has value and the company is on a knife edge. That just tells me that the market is designed to XTRACT money from unsuspecting fools like me. It has made me very wary of these oily's and I don't think you can consider any of them to be a safe investment. Good luck anyway in what ever you decide is best for you. By fantasyisland

Ouch indeed Karlo, ok so ten grand now 2.5, thats not good my friend, mine isnt quite so bad 400000 at 1.479p so my loss just over 4 grand, I am sorry I am going to be no help at all to you advise wise as I know very little, I am holding rightly or wrongly but mainly because I was in a simlar position with Dragon Oil a few years ago, I sold at a big loss and so wish I had just put them in the bottom drawer for a few years, would have done very very well now, so with that in mind I will be holding for the foreseeable future, people on here will more than likely disagree with my reasoning but there we go. There are a lot more knowledgeable posters on here that may offer a suggestion as to what to do my friend, I wish I could say hold and it will come good but like I said just don`t know, one thing for sure we are not on our own here.
Good luck whatever you decide to do. Stay calm and carry on ;-) Merc By Merc500slk

In this market you want a company that has already struck and has alot of imminent newsflow due - GKP. By SafeBreaker

Not sure what to do.... I am thinking of selling my 500,000 I have here (avg. 2.0p - ouch!) and putting it in Sound - I have a feeling they are going to do a lot better in the short term.

Merc500slk - What are your thoughts on this? By karlo74

I think he`s jumped Bazil.......
Crikey I don`t post on here much as I have no useful information but do have several thousand tied up here so do look daily or to be fair probably more like every 3 seconds lol and I have never seen this board so quiet.
I am still sat here being patient with all of you, as with my BPC and Sound Oil shares.
Good luck all holders..Good things come to those that wait eh, Merc

oil man,

Thanks, caveat appreciated. I wouldn't go large but realise it could be throwing good money after bad. At that price I intend to take a risk with a little then watch and re-assess. That said and to borrow a word from loot, a savage fall at pace from here would make me hold fire. I don't see the rush as I might be wrong but I don't see traders taking positions when summer starts. Not that soon.

14:47 17/05/2012 Re: Aussie Shale in the news
Oilman you seemed to have missed this.

. "We're keen to expand our portfolio predominantly offshore but also we're looking onshore as well," said BP's managing director of Australian exploration and production, Phil Home.

"Clearly, like everyone else, we are interested in shale gas and oil shale, so we are looking to understand what the opportunity set is, but it's too early to say at this point."

Will suspend disbelief and buy back if this goes sub 0.2p - in tranches. Then patience will be needed, lots of it. By indolent
