So on those figures prices fell by approx 1% from KZT 9,392 to KZT 9,286. However, they sold 23% more than last year. At current exchange rates of US$54.1 per tonne that would work out at annual revenues of US$62.5m. By Darconius

Did anyone take advantage of the share offer?

A couple of large buys (500,000+) today. Looks like someone building a position ahead of results By Darconius

That's a good move.

My trades aren't appearing on LSE but they do on PLUS. I notice a 15,000 trade which looks like a buy so someone did buy before me today.

May buy some more at a later date but happy with holding 10,000 for now. By Green_Chilli

Good RNS today. Sales up. Price of cement sold up. Share price is a steal compared to how it was months before.

Been tempted to get into this share before when it was 70p+ but at 49p I think they're a bargain. Surpised nobody else has bought before me. By Green_Chilli

Hi RT,

This share has been on my radar for some while and I have a modest holding. It meets my criteria for investing (low PSR & recovery shares are generally where I'm invested).

In terms of the technicals, it is just above a strong support level (at about 50p) and has good OBV. Also it is in oversold territory on RSI.

Recent news is a bit patchy (but not negative). I also noted that Sunkar Resources (SKR) couldn't find any surplus capacity in cement making plant in the area (with regard to it's aim to create saleable fertiliser). Thinking laterally, I take this as a good sign for Steppe Cement - both with regard to increased turnover and likely higher prices (than last year).

As always DYOR.

What is the long term mid/long term future of this share? Does anyone have any thoughts at all? By RattyTrump

Market got a good booting today but STCM has a nice rise - good news in the offing? By choppy_reservoir
15:31 11/11/2009 Why the huge spread?
68p to buy and 61p to sell is hardly going to encourage trading. 12% rise in sp before I break even doesn't seem like a good deal.

Still a Strong Buy if you can get closer to the mid-price when quoted. By Aittch
9:17 02/11/2009 3rd quarter results
Results were'nt bad considering the state of the construction industry and 50% drop in ex-factory price of cement. This is definitely one to stick in your ISA or SIPP for the longer term because IMHO cement, like oil will double in price as the construction industry recovers probably on the back of large infrastructure projects in developing countries like China.

I think this is a Strong Buy up to 80p and a Weak Buy up to £1 but look to buy on dips.

As usual DYOR - I'm only speculating! By Aittch
