| I think this was posted before from Manchester Evening News: Chief executive Michael Edelman said he believes the first products containing Nanoco's dots most likely LCD TV sets - will be available in 2012/13 and the business will move into the black in 2013/14. | I have mixed views on this. The delivery is a great technical achievement and arrived quicker than I was hoping for. I am left wondering when the contract will arise for the ongoing supply of quantum dots. Looking forward to "progressing the launch" makes it sound quite imminent. WIshful thinking on my part perhaps. Anyone have any views? Whatever happened to Ronnie Wood? He posted like he seemed to know something others did not. By Bellyboarder |

| 7:48 09/05/2012 | Nanoco Achieves US$2m Milestone |
| Nanoco Group PLC Achieves US$2m Milestone RNS Number : 9203C Nanoco Group PLC 09 May 2012 For immediate release 9 May 2012 NANOCO GROUP PLC ("Nanoco" or "the Company") Achieves US$2m Milestone for Green Quantum Dots Nanoco Group plc (AIM: NANO), a world leader in the development and manufacture of cadmium-free quantum dots and other nanomaterials, announces that it has successfully produced a 1kg batch of green cadmium-free quantum dots for a major Japanese corporation, triggering a US$2 million payment to Nanoco. Nanoco supplied a 1kg batch of red quantum dots to the same Japanese corporation last year, also attracting a US$2 million payment. The production of the green dots marks another major technical achievement by Nanoco because green dots are significantly more challenging than red ones due to their smaller size. The green quantum dots were produced at Nanoco's production facility in Runcorn, Cheshire. The Japanese corporation is planning on developing a range of LED applications that incorporate Nanoco's red and green quantum dots including the backlighting of LCD displays and LED-based general lighting. The value of using quantum dot LEDs in LCD TV backlighting is much improved colour performance. For general lighting applications Nanoco's quantum dots allow lighting manufacturers to tune the shade of white light produced giving next generation white LED lights the warm feeling of traditional incandescent lights. Michael Edelman, Nanoco's Chief Executive Officer, said: "We are delighted to have produced a 1kg batch of green quantum dots to the specification of this major Japanese customer. It is the first time that we have produced green quantum dots on this scale, marking a particular technical achievement as green dots are just a few nanometers in diameter - about half the size of red ones. We now look to forward to the customer progressing to the launch of quantum dot LEDs, and to our on-going supply of quantum dots." http://www.investegate.co.uk/Article.aspx?id=201205090700109203C By Valuta |

| Looking again at the RNS it talks about the green dots being produced and validated by the customer, so the timing will not be entirely in our hands. By Bellyboarder |

| Hopefully we will have some news about the green dots in May, based only on the the time line info for the red dots, i.e + four months from mile stone payment. Any alternative views? By shadowcity |

| 14:40 30/03/2012 | Positive Interim results |
| Lots of good news in the interim results and Nanoco now working towards a further $2m payment for delivery of further dots. Share Price has retraced from the 70p mark reached recently, but will resume steady progress shortly I believe. Remains a hold for me based on these highlights: US$1m milestone payment for achieving specification targets for green quantum dots Development agreement signed with one of the world's largest lighting companies for use of Nanoco quantum dots in general lighting Further agreement signed with Tokyo Electron for development of a nanomaterial-based solar film Development agreement with major Asian electronics company for the use of Nanoco quantum dots in the LED backlighting of LCD displays Manufacturing scale-up continued with planning permission granted for the Kilo Lab facility at Runcorn Cash, cash equivalents and deposits as at 31 January 2012 of £14.4 million (31 July 2011: £17.1 million) By chestec |

| 16:21 26/03/2012 | Surprised at current fall. |
| Interims looked good... steady progress on all fronts. Two million dollar milestone payment looming. Major players involved. No holdups as far as i can see. New factory progressing, so presumably a need highlighted by management. Yes, i know we've risen some ways from lows, but those were over-done as far as i could tell, and we're still trading below where we were for a long time, and with the red and green dots now proven, and further link-ups announced. Mistress AIM is being fickle, as usual. Still a sound bet in my book. GLA. R. By Robble-Bobble-Doo |

| Regular readers might recall I asked a while ago about the green dots and a few days later they turned up! Bought a small number more shares today and am hoping a further post can do the trick. Would appreciate anyone's views of what further news we might expect from NANO in the next few months. By Bellyboarder |

| 13:03 02/03/2012 | Re: Nano gets re-rated! |
| Yes Nanoco SP on a nice little run of late and let's hope we reach and set a new resistance level around the 90p mark. I timed my entry really badly, so this will get me back to break even. However, I am still long on Nanoco and happy for these to sit in my SIPP. Nanoco predict that the market for quantum dots will grow to $1bn by 2015. If they can succeed set up partnerships across these potential market applications, they will do very well IMO. Backlighting Quantum dot LED backlights for LCD TVs enable TV manufacturers to get improved colour performance with lower power consumption. This is the result of quantum dots tuneable and narrow emission spectrum. General Lighting LED lighting is expected to successively replace traditional light sources owing to its reduced power consumption, long life and compact size. Quantum dots, because of their highly tunable colours, offer superior colour performance, which means that any warmth and shade of white light can be created, which is essential for the adoption of LEDs in general domestic and office lighting. . Thin Film Solar Quantum dots have the ability to absorb a wide spectrum of the suns energy. This makes them ideal for use in next generation solar cells. Nanoco has developed inks based on these materials which can be fabricated into the solar absorption layer of a solar cell. The objective is to produce solar cells which are efficient and cost effective. Other Applications Electroluminescent displays Quantum dots have the ability to be excited electronically to emit bright, pure colours. This means the quantum dots can be fabricated into very thin electroluminescent displays which have a superior picture and consume little power using low-cost printing technology. Sensors The properties of quantum dots are such that they can be functionalised to emit light on binding to a target molecule, which enables them to be used, for example, to detect specific airborne pollutants. Anti-counterfeiting From expensive luxury goods to critical products like drug packaging and currency, quantum dots provide a method of creating unique, optical barcodes: the precise combinations of wavelengths of light emitted by complex combinations of different quantum dot. Embedded in inks, plastic, glass, and polymers, quantum dots are invisible to the naked eye and extremely difficult to counterfeit. By chestec |
