| 10:28 09/05/2012 | Excellent Q1 results |
| It is good to see a nice 9.5% increase in revenue across the Group in Q1 which explains the Chairman's promise at the AGM to increase next year's dividend by a comparable amount. Well done, ISAT. Now all you have to do is keep costs under tight control and build on your success! ISAT moves xd in a week's time (16 May) and the interim results should be published in early August. Buy now before the shares rocket... MW By MostlyWrong |

| MW I share your view in some ways and rather than crystalise the loss I am showing I will probably sit tight as my returns are marginally more than what I can get in a cash ISA -but I would welcome the challenge of deciding on buy/sell if the price rises to cover my losses By foolish learner |

| @ Foolish Learner. I am sitting on a small loss at the moment on one tranche. The way I look at it, if I sold today, what rate could I earn somewhere else? As I have a cushion of cash, I don't need this money and I could not earn more than 2.4% net in the bank. This tranche is now earning roughly 5.5% net in ISAT with the potential for 6% in 2013. Yes, there is a further risk to my capital and we could easily repeat last autumn's shenanigans, but I try to be patient and take the long view. I have crawled through the annual report and consider that ISAT is a good company. There are niggles (Lightsquared, the run-down of military operations in Afghanistan and the relative strength of Sterling) but, as trade picks up in the rest of the world, as it will, ISAT should prosper. In the meantime, and whilst I wait for the Q1 results on 09 May, I am encouraged by the Chairman's remarks on the planned growth of the dividend. MW By MostlyWrong |

| 13:16 03/05/2012 | Re: AGM |
| You beat me to it, Soundingman! This is the relevant paragraph from the AGM: ========== With the strong results at the Inmarsat plc reporting level, we maintained our commitment to pay increasing dividends to shareholders and uplifted the interim dividend and recommended full year 2011 dividends by 10% on the total dividend paid for 2010. We expect to sustain this level of increase for our 2012 financial year as well. In addition, we believe the share repurchase programme which we started in August 2010 will also provide increased returns to shareholders. ====== I reckon this year's dividends will be about 25p (9.7p so far plus 15p or so (24.96c) later this month) so next year's dividend should be ~27.5p which means 5.5% yield this year and 6% next year. Nice. MW By MostlyWrong |

| 11:28 20/04/2012 | Lightsquared |
| Today's RNS noted that Lightsquared had paid the outstanding $56m but had suspended the agreement until further notice (or words to that effect). Mr Market appears to think that is good news and the SP is up 4% which is good news for me! I know $56m is not very much in the scheme of things but it will cover 1/3 of the annual dividend and is about 12% of annual profits. The updated agreement with Lightsquared should now allow management to concentrate on normal business! I should buy more but this has been one of my worst investments in the last year and the management has some outstanding work to repair its reputation! If you are thinking of investing, please ignore the calculated figures for P/E, dividend yield and cover etc on the Fundamentals tab; they are all wildly inaccurate. I asked iii.co.uk to change them and was given a stiff ignoring! MW By MostlyWrong |

| Have reduced my GTC order to 370. Sorry but the weekly stochastics are definitely pushing down and I now fancy some serious trading to be done where the SP tails on 04Aug11 and 16Jan12 dangled. I have oblique major supports at 400 (ascending) and 365 (descending) with major horiz support at 390 (ProRealTime charts). If I miss the boat so be it. ATB & GL2A By Sinbab |

| 8:55 10/04/2012 | Re: i expected this board to be alive today |
| If lightsquared defaults then Inmarsat gets the spectrum back under the terms they announced. But it will hit profitBility. Their last results were somewhat stagnant if you took out the lightsquared revenue. I would imagine this year they'll be somewhat flat too. Don't see much happening until they launch their next constellation in end 2013. Lightsquared was basically a cash cow thats run dry and now it's back to the, admittedly profitable, business of planes, trains and automobiles... By Shoobmeister |

| 17:01 03/04/2012 | Re: i expected this board to be alive today |
| I think its in some way similar to the situation with the euro - it was the uncertainty which killed the markets, once the uncertainty started to go away we had a bit of a rally, even though the way to clear up the uncertainty was to set unrealistic budget deficits and make Greece effectively default (ok it wasn't a default in name, but it was effectively the same thing). Difference with ISAT is that the loss of lightsquared will affect profitability quite a bit but is not going to bankrupt the company, it has a profitable business beyond this - end of. In contrast, I personally think we haven't seen the end of the euro thing, and there are still plenty of problems (but that's a different subject).... Bottom line is the loss of lightsquared rev has been largely priced in for a while now IMO (even ISAT was booking the revenue in a rather conservative fashion)... I don't have my rough calcs at hand, but off the top of my head I'd estimated fair value around the current level if the lightsquared fell through and some growth returned to core businesses.... I'm still comfortable holding for now. By dr fuzz |

| Is there anyone out there? I'm sitting here with my finger poised over the sell button and the price keeps on going up! ISAT are still in the 60 day "cure" period for the $56m payment from LightSquared and now they have defaulted on the $29m due today, they will probably do likewise for what's due tomorrow. What am I missing? if the deal is pulled is the clawback of bandwidth in ISAT's favour? is there money to be made out of this debacle? Vekta By vekta |

| 16:35 23/03/2012 | Re: SP down |
| Shorters must be getting burnt or extremely frustrated with this SP given the recent shenanigans. Everytime it looks like being sold off, someone steps in and buys it back up to the 200 sMA. Staying well clear until this battle looks to have been decided. GTC/MIT moved to 411 with perceived support at 408 (rising trendline) on a possible lucky dip. By Sinbab |
