Has hit the £2.00 mark well before I expected. Will hold on to them for the more longer term, I think. By badnews

In at 160 once I came across the new dividend policy. Once this is reflected in the widely published historic yield figures I expect further boost to the share price. So a win win. Underlying logic for investing in private equity through investment trust trading at 30 per cent discount to nav also looks sound so have gone for PIN as well, despite its lack of dividends. I will just sell 6 per cent a year. By bonzoful

Yes, very nice this fund, it's small and have confidence in the manager Hamish I've forgotten his second name. Expect great things from this. Pi By pi4

I bought in 12 months ago and quite pleased with the performance. I reckon it's got potential, heavily invested in Europe which I like. Pi By pi4

If so, any thoughts on medium/long term prospects? Should be good, particularly trading at a hefty discount (based on last NAV), but I'm a little surprised by the lack of direction. A regular dividend might not be a bad idea, too. By Alan Watkins

Candover results yesterday and Company/Press comments give credence to FPEO also being at an attractive price around £1. I am a holder in both for capital growth, not income. By josien

| 13:29 26/05/2009 | Falling price |
After a good month or so the price has relaxed. I put this down to new investors (see today's report from chairman) who have got nervous. As previous comments I think this is a sure long term investment for a recovering market. Small companies do best after a recession and are the quickest to pickup again (so long as they haven't gone bust which is more than priced-in at current SP). By Tom Hilton

and just seen F&C PE is in Daily Telegraph money section today - leading the fantasy fund manager game. Maybe that will really get the discount going down as PE trusts like this don't usually get much publicity az By azzalyzarc

gpe=Graphite Enterprise Trust - used to be an F&C trust too. Been around a long time and also recovering nicely (better that fpeo over the last 12 mths). I have invested since 1991 in gpe. I agree with you on this one and adopt the same approach - started investing here only last year to spread risk a little further Good luck az By azzalyzarc

GPE?? I bought a few of these a month or so ago, so am pretty pleased with performance!! fall on all these trusts was way over done- fears over debt/ liquidity in the press were grossly misleading, but not complaining as has made me a much needed profit... Also bought SEP which is my favourite at the moment- though considering buying a few Electra too (marbles investment worries me, but cash makes valuation a joke!) Just dont think most people understand these vehicles.... I might be 30%/ 80% up on recent trust purchases, but have no intention of selling until discouont narrows to 30%, which at last calculation was about 100% higher than current price....(on this and most PE trusts) sit back and wait until the market wakes up to how cheap these all are....(even after writing down investments, perhaps over cautiously due to accounting rules) By manxtrader
